Kishore Dash | Chief Operating Officer for Oman operations

Mr. Dash has over 30 years of experience in Accounts, Finance, Banking, and all kind of Investments. He is an expert in both conventional and Islamic banking. Since 1991, he held senior positions at a number of major Middle Eastern Financial Institutions including General Manager of Investments at Al Rajhi Bank and CEO of Al Rajhi Capital, Executive Director at Gulf Finance House, Vice Chairman and CEO at NoorCap Investments, and Financial Controller at Al Mulla Group. He also served as an Independent Director and Board Member of several fund companies. He is an Advanced Management (AMP) fellow from Harvard Business School and a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) from California Board of Accountancy. He also holds CMA & CFM certifications from the United States as well as an MBA in Finance from India.

Satish Gopinathan | Head of Strategy & business development

Mr. Gopinathan has over 22 years of experience in business development, consulting, client relationship management and product strategy. Having worked with various regional and international organizations, he has gained significant expertise in channel operations, management and education consulting. During his tenure at Dubai International Academic City and Dubai Knowledge Village, he was instrumental in establishing 28 Universities and registering 420 Human Resources companies. Mr. Gopinathan is responsible for new business development at Al Najah Education. He has a M.Sc. in Marketing and HR from XLRI Jamshedpur, India.

Sarah White | Head - British Curriculum

Ms. White has many years of experience as the Head Teacher of outstanding schools in the Middle East and Europe. Her UK experience includes schools in the independent and state sector. She holds a post graduate qualification in dyslexia and is a highly experienced specialist teacher, assessor and lecturer. She is also a qualified PENTA and ISI inspector for British Schools Overseas and a member of IAPS.

Karan Brown | Head - Indian Curriculum

Ms. Brown has over 25 years in business development, branding and positioning, institutional audits and quality control. Prior to joining Al Najah Education, Ms. Brown has worked with various academic institutions like Emerald Heights International School, Choithram High Secondary School, IL&FS Education and Technology Services, Everonn and GEMS Education gaining notable expertise in systems and policies, operational standards and assessments. She holds a MA in History and BA in Education from Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, India. She is also a certified Program Leader for the ‘Cambridge International Certificate Program in Teaching and Learning’.

Victoria Nichol | Nurseries Coordinator

Ms. Nichol has over 20 years of teaching and training experience in the pre-primary and primary education in the UK and UAE. Prior to joining Jigsaw nurseries in Abu Dhabi, she has worked with a primary school in the UK and Al Rabeeh School in Abu Dhabi. She has also conducted training programs for Social Services in the UK. She was also the Chair of the Education Committee for the Board of Governors at the British School - Al Khubairat.

Susan Barton | Head - HR and Administration

Ms. Barton has over 23 years of experience in Corporate Communications, Knowledge Management, Human Resources & Administration. During her tenure through various sectors including infrastructure & finance, education, manufacturing & distribution and IT & media companies, she has gained expertise in talent management, strategic planning of human resources, organization development interventions and employee engagement. Ms. Barton has a MA in Industrial Psychology from the University Department of Applied Psychology, Mumbai India. Also a Landmark Education Graduate, she is a trained facilitator in behavioral training programs and assessment centers.

Ian White | Project Manager

Mr. White has over 30 years of experience in business development, educational multimedia, enterprise learning and vocational learning. Since relocating to the GCC region in 2009, he has created and expanded a number of schools and training institutes including the Qatar Skills Academy, Doha. Mr. White has also spent a portion of his career developing regional education and skills policy and strategy for the UK Government and European Commission.

Deepa Issrani | Vice president – Strategy & Business Development

Ms. Issrani has more than 6 years of experience in the fields of private equity, investment banking and private banking in India, UK and the MENA region. Prior to joining Al Najah, she has worked with the SME, Direct and Private banking teams at ICICI Bank in London and Dubai. She started her career as an analyst at Citicorp Finance India Ltd. where she worked on the origination and execution of various M&A and IPO deals, conducted financial analyses and valuations and researched developments within the European financial institutions space. Ms. Issrani has a M.Sc. in Finance & Economics from the University of Manchester, UK.

Suveer Arenja | Director Investments and Strategy

Suveer has over 10 years of international experience in private equity, entrepreneurship and investment research. Prior to Al Najah Education, Suveer was at Auvest Group, an alternative investments firm based in Dubai, UAE. Before Auvest, he was at L Capital Asia, a pan-Asia private equity fund sponsored by the LVMH group, working across the entire private equity process including sourcing, structuring, evaluating, due diligence and portfolio management. Suveer was also a private investor and entrepreneur at a beverage manufacturing company in India where he led a turnaround and successful exit to a strategic investor. He started his career as part of the equity research group at JP Morgan in New York. He holds a BSc. in Economics with a concentration in Finance and Management from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.

Shoaib R Ahmed | Head Treasury, Financial Planning and Analysis

Shoaib has over 6 years of experience in FP&A in the education industry. Before joining Al Najah, Shoaib worked for GEMS Education where he was heavily involved in private equity transactions, completion of debt restructuring plans, and the design of long-term business plans to achieve efficiencies within their organization. He also played key roles in the design and implementation of the finance and accounting function for various GEMS education entities in Africa. He is a Chartered Accountant and holds the IFRS Certification, both of which were obtained from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

Ashok Poojary | Manager – Finance and Accounting

Mr. Ashok Poojary has over 10 years of experience in Auditing, Accounts & Finance. Prior to Al Najah, he had been working in UAE for last 8 years and held senior positions as finance controller at Al Rais Cargo Agencies ( AL Rais Group), Assistant finance controller at Global Process system ( Al Jaber Group). He had been working for EXL services (Formerly known as OPI) in Texas and was part of the successful team in migrating and training in India on SOX compliance process, taxation works for US CPA firms. He also worked for audit firms where he handled companies from different industries including investment to education and hospitality services. He is a commerce graduate with excellent academic records from Mangalore university and a member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India since 2008.

Rizwan Rasheed | IT Support Engineer

Mr. Rizwan is an IT Engineering graduate from the University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir. He has an experience of 1 year plus in Web development, networking and IT support. His last stint was Tele Cruze Communication and WM WEBS in Pakistan.

Soumya Mathew | Hr & Admin Officer

Soumya has more than 5 years of experience in Human Resources & Administration field. Prior to joining Al Najah Education, Soumya has worked with National Projects and Construction and Three Sixty Estates Management focusing in multifaceted HR and Admin functions. Soumya is an MBA graduate in Finance & HR from Bhartidasan Institute of Management in Abu Dhabi.

Syed Zeeshan Ahmed | Financial Controller

Mr. Ahmed has over 15 years’ experience in the fields of Finance & Accounts, Budgeting, Statutory and Internal Audit. Previously, Mr. Ahmed has worked in various capacities with major organizations like United Medical Services Group, Gulf Investment House and KPMG in Kuwait. He is a Chartered Accountant and a graduate from University of Delhi, India.
